CPPE SULFACID^® Technology

Safi, Morocco

In 2016, CPPE entered into a new contract with Morocco’s OCP Group, one of the world’s leading fertilizer producers, for the engineering, design, manufacture and supply of specialised equipment components and construction supervision of a new SULFACID^® plant located in Safi. This installation was designed with a single concrete reactor tower comprising 3 SULFACID^® reactors arranged vertically, and in parallel, as independent isolatable systems, each to treat gas flow from a single production line.

The SOX removal rate is 10 800 t/y per line, and the concentration of the sulfuric acid is 15 wt%. This project will be completed in 2019.
